SOFII’s ambassadors are international volunteers dedicated to promoting SOFII in the countries they come from. They help us ensure that SOFII reflects fundraising globally and that fundraisers worldwide benefit from this resource.
Currently, aside from promoting SOFII locally, our ambassadors are also building country profiles. These will help us all learn and better understand about the state of fundraising in their respective countries.
Although we already have a fantastic team, SOFII is still looking for more ambassadors to represent the countries not mentioned below. Houssam Chahine - SOFII United Arab Emirates
Houssam has more than 12 years experience in organisational sustainability for both the nongovernmental and governmental sectors through fundraising, strategic planning, stakeholders and donor management.
Houssam is currently an advisor on private sector fundraising for UNHCR in the Gulf Region. He launched and developed Fundraising programs through the Arab region.
GregRobin Smith - SOFII Washington DC. - USA
G.Robin brings over 30 years as a presenter, performer, educator and student of relationship building to his work becoming personally involved with the non-profits he works with as well as the Donors and communities they inhabit. G.Robin believes in listening to what people have to say and acting on it. His most recent efforts have been to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Hardwick & Sons, Inc. and The Society for Creative Anachronism. For G.Robin, it's all personal and that's the best way to make it.
GregRobin Smith graduated from Eastern Washington University in Theatre Arts and has been working in the non-profit world since then. These are his two websites www.FiveRiversFundraising.org and www.Ben-Franklin.org
Tracy Hogg - SOFII Canada
Tracy has worked with nonprofit organizations since 1998 in corporate giving, major gifts and stewardship, and managing donation systems while embracing new technology. Along the way, Tracy has been president of the Santa Fe Youth Symphony, Director of Membership for Capital City Business and Professional Women, Membership Chair for the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, and Director of Community Service for the Rotary Club. At board retreats she teaches her simplified workshop entitled "How to Ask for Money Face-to-Face" that inspires giving and encourages board members to overcome shyness.
The New Mexico Technology Council honored Tracy with an Innovation Award for pioneering an online donation service and was also presented a business excellence award by the Chamber of Commerce for this business model.
Tracy now lives in Toronto and maintains strong connections in British Columbia, Denver, and New Mexico.
Clare McDowall - SOFII Canada
Clare has been a fundraiser for eighteen months, most recently working for Oxfam in the UK as their Community Fundraising / Third Party Events Manager.
She has recently moved to Toronto, Canada, and taken on one of our Canadian Ambassador positions. Already well connected to the fundraising scene in Canada through social media networks like Twitter and LinkedIn, Clare is excited to bring unique and innovative stories to SOFII from across Canada.
Tiziana Fattori - SOFII Italy
Tiziana in 1992 decided to leave her family owned fashion business company for managing the Italian branch of Actionaid. As executive director she developed the organisation making it in 2001 the biggest NGO in the country, with over 65.000 sponsors. In 2003 she was appointed as general manager by Susanna Agnelli to manage in Rome her Foundation Il Faro. She has a vast experience in nonprofit organisations and NGOs' start-up, business development and management.
She is currently the general manager of Per Vedere Fatti Vedere onlus, a nonprofit organisation funded by the Italian Ophthalmogists Society for supporting patients affected by glaucoma, macular desease and cataract, mainly through visually impaired patient's rights campaigns.
Roatchana (Nui) Sungthong - SOFII Thailand
Nui is currently based in Bangkok as the fundraiser for ActionAid Thailand, after more than three years service as operations officer for ActionAid International. Nui has a Master of Business degree in Marketing and E-Commerce from Melbourne, Australia. She is the co-founder of Fundraisers in Thailand Network, which is a rapidly growing group that already has 100 members.
A devout Buddhist and a loyal friend to many. Nui is committed to an existence of helping the disadvantaged and disempowered of this world. She believes that harmony could be restored through compassion and tolerance.
Qasar Daniel - SOFII Pakistan
Qasar is 34 years old. His interest in the nonprofit sector began in 1994 when he was still a student. He has worked for many organisations, including the Community of Saint Egidio (Italy) in Pakistan, which he has represented since 2002. He is also the president of 'EDEN’ (Organisation for Education Development and Edification for Nobility). He is involved in fundraising activities and wants to create a resource centre for developing organisations in Pakistan, as it is badly needed. Qasar has professional studies in textile management and worked for this industry in Pakistan for seven years, as well as working as country manager for the Norwegian company Skigutane As.
Qasar has experience in adopting an entrepreneurial approach to funding nonprofit organisations and has good communication, financial management and marketing experience.
Gwain Colbert Fulai - SOFII Cameroon
Gwain is a graduate of the Yaounde Advanced School of Mass Communication, University of Yaounde, specialising in advertising and public relations. After 16 years of general interest newspaper reporting in mainstream Cameroon media, he finally settled down to issue-driven communication with special focus on integrated marketing communication for behavioural impact in health, environmental and socio-cultural domains. He is promoter of the Mr. Bamenda Organisation, which seeks to raise awareness, through lobbying and advocacy, on critical issues in Cameroon that need attention. Today he is more and more involved in local fundraising as a full time profession - a field that is still unusual in Cameroon.
Sudeshna Mukherjee - SOFII India

Sudeshna is an Atlas Corps fellow from India based out of Washington, DC. For her fellowship she serves as part of GlobalGiving’s project team to support the open access initiative, devising a strategy for better engagement of social entrepreneurs hosting their projects on the website. Sudeshna has almost seven years experience in programme management and resource mobilisation functions across national and international NGOs such as Oxfam India, the Resource Alliance, Make-A-Wish Foundation of India and GIVE India. She began her career in monitoring and evaluation at GIVE India and gradually transitioned to implementing effective fundraising and donor stewardship strategies for corporations, new media and high net-worth individuals. In her last assignment with Oxfam India she focused on fundraising from corporations especially for disaster relief and rehabilitation projects. Sudeshna holds a Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and a Masters Certificate in Resource Mobilisation and Management from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, India.
in May 2008 Sudeshna was awarded a Pareto bursary to attend the 8th International Workshop on Resource Mobilisation organised by the Resource Alliance in Kuala Lumpur. She remains perpetually indebted to her generous benefactor Sean Triner, director of Pareto Fundraising in Sydney, Australia, who unlocked the world of SOFII to her! In her free time Sudeshna enjoys yoga and classic films.
Christiana Stergiou - SOFII Australia
Christiana is a fundraiser, consultant, copywriter, professional speaker and blogger. She is passionate about fundraising, especially bequest (legacy) fundraising and helping small nonprofits effectively raise more money.
Christiana has her own fundraising consultancy, Scribbly Bark, based in beautiful Byron Bay, Australia and in 2011, she founded www.fundraisingbooks.net to help fundraisers access excellent quality fundraising information and to learn as much as they can about fundraising.
Christiana is also an experienced and impassioned international speaker. In past years, she has presented highly rated sessions about bequests, donor relationships, small shop fundraising and direct marketing in conferences around the world, including Australia, New Zealand Conference, the UK, India and the Philippines.
Christiana also blogs for SOFII. Her posts are inspired by some of the latest and greatest fundraising books, of which she is an avid reader, as well as the communications she gets from the many nonprofits she supports.
