Lost and found

Part 1. The homeless section
This is our name for section 18 of the Showcases, the final section where SOFII puts all the exhibits that aren’t quite complete because no one has yet supplied the necessary details by filling in an exhibitor’s entry form. But there’s some great stuff in this section, just waiting to inspire fundraisers.

• Some appalling but instructive annual reports from days gone by.
• Mailings, scripts and events we’d like to see described on SOFII.
• A legacy campaign in detail. And the analysis of a major donor campaign.
• Post your own ‘we’d like to know more about…’ suggestion for new exhibits.

Part 2. What’s missing?
This is where SOFII will list all the fundraising campaigns and initiatives that it knows of but so far hasn’t yet had entries for. You’ll be invited to add your own omissions and suggestions too.

Part 3. The history page
• A short history of the International Fundraising Congress, Holland, now in its 28th year.
• The ActionAid story: how Britain’s first direct-marketed charity grew to be one of its top ten, by voluntary income, in just a few years.

• The Oxfam story.
• A history of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent.

NB this section is still in preparation. The information on these pages has been prepared solely for the SOFII prototype and is for illustration purposes only, to demonstrate how the SOFII website might look, when finally launched.

Help the homeless.
Homeless, maybe, but it's still great creative fundraising – simple, honest, direct and stimulating.

If one of our fundraising flock should go astray, SOFII will come looking for it.

But don't worry, we won't be using any big stick.

In our book, all good fundraising past or present is worth searching for, far and wide.
